The Main Street Electrical Parade stepped off with its synthesized music “Baroque Hoedown” in 1972. The parade ran only at night, with floats containing more than one million lights. The parade would take a hiatus in 1975 and 1976 when another parade was inaugurated for America’s Bicentennial called: America on Parade.
